The short version. BankGeeks AI reads the SMS your bank sends you and turns it into a clear view of your money, entirely on your phone. It has no server, no account and no trackers. Only two things ever use the internet: the one-time download of the app's AI, and, in the Google Play version, the subscription, which Google Play handles itself. Nothing about your messages, transactions or money is sent to us or to anyone else. There is nowhere to send it.

1Who we are
BankGeeks AI is an Android app made by OxyMoon, an independent software studio in Jordan ("we"). This policy covers the app with the package name com.bankgeeks.app, whether it was installed from Google Play or directly as an APK file. Contact: hello@oxymoon.net.
2What the app does with your SMS
- During setup, the app lists the senders in your SMS inbox (the sender's name, the number of messages and one sample line) so you can pick your bank or banks. The list is built on the phone and shown only to you.
- After that, the app reads only messages from the senders you selected. Messages from anyone else are not analyzed, stored or sent anywhere. They are dropped from memory as soon as they are filtered out.
- Bank messages are analyzed on the phone, by an AI model that runs on the device and by rules the app learns from your bank's message formats. The results (transactions, balances and categories) are stored on the phone.
- The app never sends, forwards or uploads SMS, and it does not read messages that belong to other apps.
Use case under Google Play's SMS permissions policy: SMS-based money management (personal budget tracking). Reading SMS is the app's core function, not a side feature.
3Bank-app notifications (optional)
Some banks send an app notification for each transaction instead of an SMS. If you choose this source, the app explains what it will read, then asks you to turn on notification access in Android settings.
- The app keeps the text of notifications from the bank apps you selected, and nothing else. Notifications from every other app are discarded immediately and never stored. Only that app's name and a count are recorded, so it can appear in the list you pick from.
- Conversations and ongoing notifications, such as a music player, are filtered out by Android itself. The app never sees them.
- Kept notifications are stored in an app-private database on the phone. They are deleted automatically after two years, or when you remove that bank app from your list. They are never sent anywhere.
- You can turn notification access off in Android settings at any time.
4What is stored on your phone

Questions you type in Insights are answered on the phone and are not saved.
All of this stays on the device. Uninstalling the app deletes everything except the files you exported yourself.
5What leaves your phone
Nothing reaches us. We run no server and receive no data. Only these things use the network, and each one starts with you:
- The AI download, once. When you ask for it, the app downloads its AI model from Hugging Face (huggingface.co), preferably over Wi-Fi. As with any download, Hugging Face's servers see your IP address and the file requested. No account, message or personal data is sent. After the download, the app needs no internet at all.
- The Google Play subscription (Play version only). Buying, renewing, cancelling and refunding Pro all happen in the Google Play Store app on your phone. Google processes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy, and knows that your Google account subscribed to BankGeeks AI Pro. The app receives only a signed purchase record from Google Play (the product, a purchase token and dates) and checks it on the phone. Nothing about your messages or money is involved, and we receive no copy.
- Links you tap, such as this page, open in your browser.
There are no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs and no third-party code that connects to the internet. You can check this yourself: turn on airplane mode, and every screen and the widget keep working.
6Permissions
- Read SMS (
READ_SMS): to read bank messages from the senders you chose. Required for the core function. Without it, only demo data works. - Notification access: optional, turned on by you in Android settings. To read transaction notifications from the bank apps you pick, and nothing else.
- Notifications: for the spending alerts you set up. They are created and shown on the phone. There is no push server.
- Biometrics and device lock: for the optional app lock. The phone checks your fingerprint or face; the app never sees them.
- Internet and a foreground service: for the one-time AI download. The service keeps the download going when you leave the app.
- Google Play billing (Play version): for the Pro subscription.
- Home-screen widget: shows your balance and what you can spend, hidden until you tap. The data stays on the phone.
7Pro purchases
Pro is an auto-renewing subscription through Google Play: $1.99 a month or $15 a year, with a 7-day free trial, shown in your local currency. A copy installed outside Google Play gets Pro free for 7 days and then points to Google Play. You can cancel any time in Play Store › Payments & subscriptions. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.
8Your control
- Delete everything: uninstall the app, or use Settings › Reset. There is no account to close, and no data on our side to request or erase, because we hold none.
- Backups and statements are files you own. Delete them yourself.
- You can change the selected senders at any time.
9Children
BankGeeks AI is a personal finance tool for adults with a bank account. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone; in fact, we do not collect data at all.
10Security
Stored data is encrypted (SQLCipher, AES-256) with a key kept in the phone's secure storage, and you can add an app lock with your fingerprint or device PIN. Because the app has no network backend, there is no account to break into and no server holding your data.
11Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Because the app collects nothing, changes will be about wording or new features, not about starting to collect data. Any version of the app that sends data anywhere will say so here first, and inside the app.
